This last weekend Iavora and I traveled to Columbia to help celebrate the birth of one of our great friends, Stephen Griffard. Stephen celebrated the way we would want him to; with alcohol and a toy gun in his jacket pocket.
Happy Birthday Stephen Griffard!

Danielle and Bella
Danielle Cioti's pug got away from the stable at Van Cortlandt Park and was missing for eleven days. By posting signs all over the surrounding neighborhoods, covering her car in flyers and enlisting the help of a non-profit organization called Rescue Ink they were reunited after eleven days. The Riverdale Press was there to cover the reunion.

These are the first pictures of my cousin's (well sorta cousin's) daughter and first child, Elena Ruth Potsou.

MS 37
I went to a middle school graduation with Josh, the photo editor of the Riverdale Press. Josh said "I will get the conventional shots and you can go shoot things that interest you." It was fun to run around and take pictures.

Riverdale
So I finally found something to do this summer. I am a photo intern at the Riverdale Press; a weekly paper in the Bronx. Riverdale is the neighborhood my high school was in, it is in the Bronx and has a lot of ethnic and economic diversity. Yesterday I walked around the neighborhood with my camera to check things out and explore places I never got to as a Horace Mann student.
Up on the hill in Riverdale there are well manicured lawns and lots of foreign cars.

The Rubberband
My friend Greg Somerville is in a band called the Rubberband. I went to a show of theirs and brushed elbows with the high school crowd of NYC. It was fun and I am glad I got off of my sofa to make it to the show.
I was going to get an internship shooting at this music venue and this was a nice warm up, but the job fell through and the lady stopped responding to me. NYC amateur photographer employment is rough. Ugh.

2 Dollar Kites
So these pictures are from a while back, when we tried to fly some real cheap kites, it didn't work very well. Sorry about the delay in post and enjoy.

Early Summer New York City
So I am home in New York for the summer and my full time employment fell through and now I need to find some entertainment or jobs and if anyone knows anyone looking for a photo student to do work in NYC please hit me up.
I had some friends from high school over the other day and we made food and had a grand old time. It is nice to be home and see what people you end up reconnecting with. I think Josh and Justin wanted to hang out with Louise more than they wanted to hang out with me though.
