Little League!

At the Riverdale Press I have been shooting a ton of Little League games. It's nice because sports shooting is not something I was ever very confident with and the slower pace of the games makes it easier to get a decent shot. So here are a few selects from my time on the sidelines.

It is also fun to see all of these kids with lots of athletic ability and the whole community that forms around teams. I see the same parents at the games and they always have an incredible amount of enthusiasm. I should have done more sports as a kid, woops.

Jamming

I did a multimedia piece with another photographer from the Riverdale Press. It was at a fascinating jazz club right between Riverdale and Yonkers.

MS 37

I went to a middle school graduation with Josh, the photo editor of the Riverdale Press. Josh said "I will get the conventional shots and you can go shoot things that interest you." It was fun to run around and take pictures.

Riverdale

So I finally found something to do this summer. I am a photo intern at the Riverdale Press; a weekly paper in the Bronx. Riverdale is the neighborhood my high school was in, it is in the Bronx and has a lot of ethnic and economic diversity. Yesterday I walked around the neighborhood with my camera to check things out and explore places I never got to as a Horace Mann student.

Up on the hill in Riverdale there are well manicured lawns and lots of foreign cars.
