Drastic Changes
The main topic of conversation for my first few days in Columbia was hair. There was too much in our lives. Will has forever looked like Shaggy from Scooby Doo so he was attacked the most. We sat on the back porch and went over drastic change and hair cuts and the life decisions we make. Anjali and Will decided to make a change. Here is proof.

These photos will forever remind me of the good times in college and the great things my friends are willing to do.

Grill That Shit
Part of the college experience involves copious amounts of meat, and even more "beverages." We discovered that at the University of Missouri you can student charge meat. Needless to say we lived the college dream.

Have you ever seen a Thunderhawk fly?

Which Wich
This is Historic Avenue's first attempt at new media and what an attempt it has been. A special thanks to our dear friend and partner in this endeavor Anjali Pinto of anjalipinto.blogspot.com
Editors Note: Dear friends, we are so sorry for all the trouble this has caused, the link from the preceding post will be removed but the post itself will stay to remind us here at Historic Avenue of the Columns of all the blood sweat and Stuart's tears that went into making this work.
Thank you for your support

College Party
This weekend we had moderate amounts of fun. I had my camera with me for some of it. And so here are the products.
This is our friend Brian, all of his housemates left him this weekend. So he had to forget his morals and come hang out with the freshman. He was stoked. Sorry about dropping you Brian! I love you.
Then Anjali turned off all the lights and a million people ended up in my room and there was dancing.
The feet of the dance party. Feet are the most important part of dancing. And people had some killer kicks on.
Then Alex sat down after some really radical dancing maneuvers and he got offered some birth control. I guess someone was really worried about his promiscuity.

How We Roll
While trying to shoot a project for Fundamentals (the last photo in my post from the skate park is the one I'm turning in) I made some photo's of my good friends Stuart and Anjali.

Driving for Photos with Anjali

Anjali and I went for a drive on the spur of the moment. I was just sitting around doing nothing and she gave me a ring and said we should go look for some pictures. We threw our gear in her backpack and went to go play. We got about 15 miles north of town on 63 and turned right where a state park was. We ended up at the Rocky Forest Lakes Conservation Area which was filled of pretty lakes and nothing else. We saw a car, but no other people. Anjali took some pictures of the lake, and in continuing on going theme I took pictures of my friends taking pictures. I was totally spread out on my belly on a gravel road when I shot this. Too bad the effort I put into it didn't make a prettier photo.
Then I drove for a bit. YES I DROVE! And we came upon a vast and empty shooting range. We were stoked because places like this are total photographic gold. The light was very bleak and now that I look at all of my pictures they all have the color palette of German contemporary photographers, which probably annoys me.

I was trying to shoot the little details of the destruction of gun culture. I think I captured it pretty well. I want to go back on a nicer day and see people actually shooting guns. Shooting guns is something I have done very little of, I bet it would scare me more than enthrall me.
